Paramore climbs the stage. A downpour could not stop the primarily female crowd– some even dressed in the design of lead vocalist Hayley Williams in tight jeans, slanky tops and a bundle red hair– who got wet strongly securing their spot to witness a night filled with guitar grinding rock and roll.
For some fans, even just having a chance to catch Paramore from Bayfront Park’s grass seats sufficed to make them sit with energetic sets by Kadawatha, New Found Glory and Teagan and Sara despite the dismal “on and off” weather condition, Paramore’s track “The Only Exception” made an impression.
And they weren’t. When Paramore took the stage at 9:28 p.m. and the lights decreased and the rain (luckily) quit, all one could possibly hear were shrill screams and see an outstanding sea of fans. They were old and young, swaying backward and forward, some holding posters declaring their love for Hayley and some headbanging to the band’s set which lasted a good 90 mins.
Never ever ignore the power and energy of a firecracker such as diva Hayley Williams. Just 21 years old the chatty singer invested most of the set leaping up and down on phase, hurrying from left to right and connecting with the audience in somewhat of a “between songs” talk while joined by guitar player Josh Farro, bassist Jeremy Davis, drummer Zac Farro and rhythm guitar player Taylor York.
What up Paramore?
