Totally CRazY Yummy HOt! Love how each one just as strikingly captures the mind continues on to hold the soul captive with the images subtle intents or blatant messages forever!

Andrew Bird print, second and third Muse posters, and both Wilcos are all amazing. The Sonic Youth Emek is also neat, though I’m not usually a fan of Emek’s stuff — it’s technically amazing and proficient, but almost too detailed for my tastes.

I think all of these posters are worthy of praise for the work that went into them. HOWEVER, for my least favorite: 1. Wilco-uninspired, quiet, and rather boring; 2.Sonic Youth-hurts the eyes and seen a million times from bygone eras; 3. 2 Days and Counting-just lame on so many levels. Nickelback has better flyers.
My Favorite:
1. Decemberists-cool idea, great imagery=ART baby…; 2. King Diamond-I know, its been done a million times (COOP, Cradle of Filth), but its irreveratnt and hot; 3. Legendary Swagger-I’m s sucker for Rockabilly-themed devil posters.

Holy wow! The Sonic Youth and Decemberists posters are exceptional! Exquisite! That is to say: Do want!
March 15th, 2010 at 8:26 am
I would like some liquid Emek please, for to mainline
March 15th, 2010 at 9:55 am
These are fantastic. I might have to add a few to my collection. You have any SF based posters??
March 15th, 2010 at 10:18 am
What can I say? Gotta love anything by Horkey…the Decemberists poster is bad-ass. Also diggin the style of the Stray Cats and Swagger posters.
March 15th, 2010 at 10:43 am
Really digging those Wilco and Sonic Youth posters. Plus that cop is supes hott.
March 15th, 2010 at 2:18 pm
I’m intrigued, i’m amazed, I’m scared – and that’s only 3 posters in! Great stuff here – really like the Diet Wilco can….No idea who 2 Days and Counting are, but they have my attention!!
March 15th, 2010 at 2:21 pm
The OO Soul poster and the 2nd Wilco poster are fantastic and hilarious. Also, the King Diamond poster is disgusting, yet dangerously sexy. Loves it.
March 17th, 2010 at 2:13 pm
The andrew bird and muse ones are the best, i really kinda like the one that is an Ode to Daniel Johnston, that one is pretty damn cool, Sonic Youth, Killing cute, and the wilco one where its a Hair bun are also really awesome.
The other ones aren’t for me but the ones i mentioned are REALLY awesome
March 20th, 2010 at 1:57 pm
I think most of them are fabulous!!
Im actually getting two of them.. Like the colors, like the lines.. its perfect!!
March 22nd, 2010 at 6:30 am
the second (andrew bird), all of the muse posters, the polymix, both wilcos, and the crooked vultures. the sonic youth one is amazing.
March 22nd, 2010 at 6:59 am
Some of these have the makings of classics. Of course the Emek’s and the Horkey’s are all know well. The ones I think are sleepers are the 2 Days and Counting, and in my opinion the Jay Ryan will be a classic. Man I wish I had the money to buy some of these, if I won this contest, I’d be so grateful, I love poster art and being able to get a few would mean so much to me. Thank you fo the chance.

While I appreciate having my work included among such amazing talent, I can only assume it was one of the one’s that “aren’t”.
That particular piece is one of my least favorite among my recent work, so I’m not surprised. Still, there is quite a bit of my material that (I hope) might present a conundrum as to whether it’s “beautiful” or not.
I would like to know by what criteria you made your decisions – what exactly do you mean by ‘beautiful’? Some of these are gorgeous to look at but fail as posters.
Anyway, I’d like to say thanks and also – if you include my stuff again (and do feel free to) please let me know!

Each image has strikingly captures the mind, the artist are very good
April 16th, 2011 at 4:39 pm
The King Diamond is my favorite fail. I love the performer and band (positive) but the artist has us so into looking at semi nude lesbian nuns about to penetrate each other with a crucifix minus the cross that we barely notice the creepy voyer bishops or Baphomet demon, let alone notice the headlining band whose name is hidden at the top (major advertisement poster fail) to even know what this is for. The venue, christians everywhere, and the artist who created King’s infamous logo will all hate this so…let me have fun by getting one, since everyone knows nuns have none.

Emek opens and blows my mind!
