Here’s a bit from a fan site.
Rose is so unique, I really wish she were featured more often. She revealed that she didn’t want to get sick because she had Black Keys concert tickets. Rose was mad because she couldn’t go to the event due to the Bluebell lockdown, but let me tell you something: if it were me and I had tickets to see The Black Keys, I’d break any law to go to that concert. Girl, channel your inner rebel! Wouldn’t that be a fun episode? More here
Rachel plays the role well.
Of course when a show like this is created it’s reliant on the actors to step up and make the show work. Rachel Bilson does this almost with ease, her character does come across very much like Summer in The OC, bubbly and very feisty she believes she can talk her way out of anything and will be a success with everything she does, it’s typical Bilson and it works. Her enemies are numerous, especially Brick played by Tim Matheson, he manages to play THE doctor of the town as an arrogant stubborn fool at times but he’s not blind to the good that Bilson’s character provides and often warms to her, the real nemesis is in the form of Lemon his daughter though. Jaime King actually plays Lemon interestingly, she’s the “bitch” of the town, she’s controlling and manipulative to get what she wants, but underneath all of that there is a frailty and indecisiveness that affects her success in her goals, she strives to be the best knowing that her past is just waiting to drag her back down. It’s quite surprising that many (including me) will no doubt end up liking King’s character because she manages to put warmth into her that is quite endearing, if bitchy. More here
